A trip down Deptford Church Street
A friend of mine has just bought a flat in Deptford. I went to visit him the other day and spotted these oddities.
This is the Deptford Project and it's actually quite well known. It's a cafe in a converted railway carriage. I recommend the spinach and ricotta quiche.
Not for sale. Although being put down in ten days the owner was more than willing to inform me. I bet he says that to everyone.
There's a flea market just off Deptford Church Street selling all kinds of crap (and some pretty good finds).
I wonder what this place sells.

Clapton Road Signs
This was the first thing that made me think of doing a blog. I remember reading once that the 'NE' postcode district was merged into the 'E' district way back so took a snap of this road sign. I've recently found out that that this actually took place in 1866 under advice from Anthony Trollope no less, making this sign 144 years old. I find that hard to believe, but there we are. Whilst walking around I noticed another one and apparently there's also one on Victoria Park Road. Watch this space
